  • Wednesday — Lava Tubes National Monument* Explore underground labyrinth and learn about California’s cultural history with emphasis on Modoc Wars

Please Note:
Nearby amenities abound near our campground, Falls River Mills being the closest (5 miles east). Weather in this corner of the state is generally mild (highs in the 80’s, lows in the 50’s) in the summer, but we can have varied weather including thundershowers. Bears are prevalent as well. Stargazing is fantastic at night. Music and storytelling are always present at Camp Chaia.

Fee: $800 for the week, including organic food, transportation and incidental costs for the kids.

We charge for the school-aged children and the family comes free with only incidental costs of travel and food if they choose to join us. We are an inclusion camp and welcome children who have autism if they are high functioning, children with ADD and ADHD and children who would benefit from a great outdoor program emphasizing exercise, character building and teamwork!
